Hierarchy Stabilization at Zero and Finite Temperature

Bithika Jain

KIAS, S. Korea

In this talk I will discuss 5D holographic models of spontaneously broken conformal symmetry which realize a light dilaton and also a suppressed cosmological constant from condensates. A "soft-wall" realization of the Randall-Sundrum geometry is generic in such cases, where the IR brane plays a lesser role as a cutoff for large curvature effects, and low energy observables such as the spectrum of states are largely insensitive to its position. Later I will explore the phenomenology of the conformal phase transition after developing an analysis of the model at finite temperature.
