Quantum theory of nonlocal nonlinear Schrodinger equation

In this talk, the quantum (field) theory of
nonlocal nonlinear Schrodinger model will be discussed. It will be shown
that the usual canonical quantisation of the model leads to a theory with
pathological inner product. This problem will be seen to be resolved by
constructing another inner product for the vector space of the theory. The
resultant theory will be shown to be identical to that of nonrelativistic
bosons with delta function interaction, and will be seen to be exactly
soluble. Although the
classical theory of this model is nonlocal, it will be seen that the quantum
theory is devoid of any nonlocality.
