Understanding neutrino oscillations

Rahul Srivastava

IISER, Bhopal

The discovery of neutrino oscillations was a major landmark in
our never ending quest to understand physics at the fundamental level. It
provided one of the first clear experimental evidence of physics beyond
Standard Model. However, more than twenty years after the initial
observation, neutrino oscillations still remain relatively ill understood.
I this talk I will discuss the various theoretical approaches employed in
literature to understand the lepton mixing pattern and their predictions
for neutrino oscillation parameters. I will also discuss the capability and
reach of current and upcoming neutrino oscillation experiments like DUNE to
test the proposed models.
