Particle dark matter -- thermal and non-thermal production mechanisms

I shall give an overview of some broad class of thermal and non-thermal particle dark matter production mechanisms in the early Universe. 
I shall also discuss the cosmological, astrophysical and laboratory based probes of these mechanisms.
