Entanglement Entropy and geometric Islands

The entanglement entropy for quantum systems coupled to a bath systems has been an interesting area of exploration in AdS/CFT recently. In these cases the contribution of geometric entropy of islands has also become important to know. We shall focus upon 2d CFT cases where one can identify these contributions very accurately. This includes the cases where we can have black holes in the bulk AdS spacetime.
