Expectations from NOvA

NOvA long baseline neutrino experiment is scheduled to start in a few months. It will be the second experiment to measure numu to nue appearance after T2K. Matter effects modify this NOvA probability by 25% at NOvA (as opposed to 10% at T2K). NOvA is capable of measuring this change and determine the neutrino mass hierarchy for favourable values of deltaCP. I will discuss the physics capabilities of NOvA.
