Abstract | The 5/2 quantum Hall state has been a focal point of both theoretical and experimental studies as it hosts non-Abelian quasiparticles, a proposed basis for topological quantum computation. Despite a variety of approaches, an experimentally realizable scheme identifying the underlying non-Abelian bulk state and simultaneously its edge thermal equilibration regimes is still lacking. Our proposal addresses all these via measurements of electrical current auto- and cross-correlations in a device consisting of interfaces of 5/2 state with different Abelian quantum Hall states. This can be generalized to 12/5 bulk states, graphene quantum Hall states, Kitaev magnets, and more. Reference: PRL 132, 136502 (2024) |
