EFTs: Recent Developments and Applications

Jacky Kumar

LANL

In the first part, I will discuss the important technical aspects
of the EFTs that are relevant for particle physics phenomenology. In
particular, I will discuss principles of an EFT, the EFTs at tree-level and
1-loop, matching, renormalization scheme independence, renormalization
group running. In the second part, I will focus on the applications of the
EFTs for the beyond Standard Model phenomenology and the tools required to
carry out such a research program. In this regard, I will highlight my
recent work on the development of such EFTs, their phenomenological
applications as well as computer tools to automate the phenomenological
calculations.
