UV-complete 6d theories from F-theory

I will describe the construction of 6d SCFTs and little string theories by compactifying F-theory on elliptically-fibered Calabi-Yau three-folds with a section. The claim is that this provides a complete classification of UV-complete 6d supersymmetric theories. I will show that all the previously known examples of such theories are contained in the classification. The construction also naturally reproduces many properties already known about these theories.
