The beautiful and charming path to New Physics

It is well known that New Physics can contribute to weak decays of mesons
via virtual processes during its decays. However, the discovery of New
Physics, using such decays is difficult due to intractable strong
interaction effects needed to describe it. We very briefly highlight how we
have developed approaches to resolve this problem at IMSc during the last
two decades. We report on some recent work that enables clean tests for New
Physics and leads to a better understanding of hadronic decays.
