My work comprises a balance between analytic calculations and high-performance computations. My publications can be accessed from arXiv.
The problems I'm working on :
- Pattern formation in mixtures of
molecular motor - microtubules in eucaryotic Cells.
- Static and dynamic properties of nematic liquid crystals .
- The zero temperature relaxational dynamics of uniaxial and biaxial NLC's quenched from the isotropic phase and coarsened deep into the nematic phase in one-dimensional system of size 32 with periodic boundary condition.
- The 2D plot of the angles and
orientational dynamics in biaxial nematics.
- Schlieren textures and the order parameter field dynamics in 2D uniaxial nematics of
size 256.
- Equilibrium profile and fluctuation effects of Isotropic - Nematic interface with temperature.
- Appearance of inter-commutating strings in a uniaxial nematic quenched from isotropic state in 3D using 256 nodes of a parallel cluster. System size is 256^3.
- Biaxial quench : Order parameter field dynamics for a 512 X 512 system for 50K time steps and 1024 X 1024 system for 100K time steps.
- Dynamics of a non-conserved scalar
field (e.g. magnetisation in classical ising system). The code is run on a 256^3 lattice on 256 nodes of a
parallel machine.
