To say about myself, I'm been born at Bilaspur (Madhya Pradesh) which is my mother's hometown. I have experienced my childhood at a small beautiful place in the border of state West Bengal and Bihar, called Maithan, which originates from a bengali name "Maa-er sthan" (place of the mother). A dam was been constructed post-independence by Damodar Valley Corporation, which is one of the major water power sources of West Bengal. I reigned this lovely place for seventeen years till the end of schooling.
Walking down memory lane, these are worth memorable days in my life to feel the picturesque environment around me. The (damodar) valley looks marvellously green from the dam. In winter, specially in Christmas and New Year eve, the dam get crowded with tourists and picknickers. Many popular films were shooted on and the valley of the Dam (e.g. 'Bipasha', 'Shankhabela' etc).
After my schooling I moved to a semi-urban place in the Asansol subdivision, named Kulti, for three years and to Kharagpur for two years in my undergrads and currently at Chennai for graduate studies. Next year, I'll move to Köln (Germany) for my postdotoral research.
