Welcome to my area

My name is Amit Kumar Bhattacharjee. I'm a research student in theoretical physics at The Institute of Mathematical Sciences, Chennai. My thesis advisors are Dr. Ronojoy Adhikari and Dr. Gautam I. Menon.

I work on various computational problems in soft materials, particularly on liquid crystals and biophysics. My recent interests can be summarized into : mesoscale methods, interface physics, spinodal decmposition and homegeneous nucleation kinetics, stochastic calculus, high performance computations.

My computational benchmarks include,

Serial and parallel Allen - Cahn equation solver in three dimensions (implicit and explicit).
Uniaxial and Biaxial nematic PDE solver in three dimensions (implicit and explicit).
Stochastic RK4 model-A and nematic integrator.
Model-A and nematic solver using Spectral collocation method.
ADI operator splitting implicit PDE solver.
