dc.description.abstract This Report consists of the lectures given at the Institute during November 1977, to March 1978, on the applications of density matrix methods to muon capture processes. The reason for the choice of muon capture process is the author's familiarity with it and the techniques given here can be applied to other reactions as well. A brief discussion of radiative pion capture and gamma decay is also given. These lectures are mainly based upon the following books and research papers.
