The aim of these lectures is to give an account of the developments in the new interest gained since new complex variable methods were found to establish Tauberian theorems. A brief introduction to summability methods is given in chapter I, whereas Chapter II makes the function theoretic preparations. Some theorems of Phragmen-Lindelof and its applications are explained in chapter II. Chapter III contains Tauberian Theorems with gap condition or O-condition. |
