Visiting Scientists Programme

The Institute has a vibrant visiting scientist programme, and over the years has hosted several Nobel Laureates, Fields medallists, and other scientists of eminence, often for extended periods.

The mathematics group at IMSc actively seeks to organize visits by research mathematicians from all over the world. Such visits typically center around a set of formal lectures. A public lecture targeted at a general audience is often a part of these visits. Durations of such visits range from a couple of days to a semester or more.

If you are interested in visiting us, please send an email to director@imsc.res.in stating your field, your area of activity, how long you would like to visit and any other relevant information.
You may also contact a faculty member whose research interests are close to yours.
