Thematic Summer Program on Finite Fields (14 May to 1 June 2012)
The Chennai Mathematical Institute and The Institute of Mathematical Sciences plan to host a thematic summer program from 14 May to 1 June 2012. The program is aimed at final-year BSc students, but motivated students from BSc first and second year may also apply. Besides basic lectures on finite fields (such as existence, uniqueness and structure) there will be lectures on more specialized topics (cryptography, coding theory, combinatorics). In the last week students will be expected to write a short report on a topic which they will choose in consultation with the faculty conducting the program.
Details about selected candidates are available at the program’s web page.
